ICC cannot arrange Indo-Pak series: Zaheer Abbas

Playing the series would greatly improve relations between the two countries, said ICC chief

LAHORE (Dunya News) – International Cricket Council (ICC) President Zaheer Abbas said on Monday that Indo-Pak series is a matter between the two respective cricket boards. He said that ICC cannot play a role in the matter, reported Dunya News.

Talking to media, former test cricketer and President of ICC Zaheer Abbas said that Pakistani cricket team is no ordinary team and is considered to be one of the best outfits in international cricket. He said that if it improves its performance then everybody will come towards it.

Talking about Indo-Pak series, Zaheer Abbas said that such a series is for the greater benefit of the sport adding that playing a series would greatly improve relations between the two countries.

However, the decision lies squarely on the respective cricket boards, said Zaheer Abbas. He said that ICC cannot play a role in arranging the series.
