DUBAI (AFP) - Pakistan reached 231 for one at tea on the fourth day of the first Test against Australia in Dubai on Saturday.

They now lead by 382 runs with nine wickets in hand and are well-placed to take a 1-0 lead in the two-Test series.

Ahmed Shehzas was unbeaten on 128 for his second Test hundred while Younis Khan was 67 not out as Pakistan punished a hapless Australia attack on a flat Dubai stadium pitch.

Resuming on 38-0, Pakistan lost Azhar Ali for 30 in the first session before Shehzad and Younis added 160 for the unbroken second wicket stand.

Steve O Keefe was the only successful bowler with 1-79.

The second and final Test will start in Au Dhabi from October 30.
