Chicken, tomato prices on rise in Lahore, Karachi
No price list has been displayed by the sellers in order to demand rates of their own choice.
LAHORE / KARACHI (Dunya News) – Prices of chicken and tomato are on a rise as sellers in Lahore and Karachi are charging consumers at a whim.
The official price of chicken in Karachi is Rs190/kg but it is being sold at Rs210-230/kg whereas tomatoes are available above Rs100.
No price list has been displayed by the sellers in order to demand rates of their own choice.
Similarly in Lahore, chicken is being sold at Rs250/kg whereas the price of tomatoes has exceeded Rs120.
The price hike is also witnessed in other cities amid no regulation by the authorities while the government is silent over the public’s miseries.
