Some 1,200 supporters of the Occupy Frankfurt movement protest for a more equal distribution of wealth across the world in Germanys financial capital, according to police.More than one thousand people took to the streets of Germanys financial capital on Saturday in support of the Occupy Frankfurt movement, inspired by the Occupy Wall Street action group which criticises financial systems and calls for a more equal distribution of wealth.Carrying banners such as Risk a New Life - Destroy the Power of Banks, demonstrators demanded something must happen.The main reason Im here is that we are currently going through a time where change is possible and can happen if people get involved, a young woman said who gave her name as Elena Belmar.I believe it is necessary that something happens, she added. Protester Walther Schramm agreed. Something definitely has to happen. We need more justice, he said.In Berlin, about two dozen Occupy sympathisers camped outside a church, sleeping in tents and spending their days holding outdoor discussions and playing guitar.Occupy Wall Street protests have spread across the United States and into other countries including Britain and Germany.
