Paris celebrates Bastille Day with firework display watched by hundreds of thousands.

Hundreds of thousands of people turned out in Paris on Thursday (July 14) to watch a giant firework display celebrating famous musicals in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower at the end of Frances Bastille Day national holiday.The 35-minute-spectacle celebrated works such as Singing in the Rain, My Fair Lady, Jesus Christ Superstar or more recent works such as Evita and Chicago.A total of 2,104.89 kilogrammes (4628 pounds) of pyrotechnics were used during the display, with fireworks shot to 125 different locations around the Trocadero complex opposite the Eiffel Tower.
