A CBI court in Jaipur on Saturday rejected the bail application of Aseemanand in Ajmer blast case.

The court also extended his custody until the next hearing which was fixed for May 14.Aseemanand had moved the bail application on the ground that he had been kept in custody for more than 90 days and that probing agencies had failed to file a charge sheet against him. Aseemanand is the main accused in Smajhota Express and Ajmer bombing cases. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) contended that since the matter was related to national security, the investigation could not be done hastily, therefore, the bail plea should be rejected. After hearing the arguments of the NIA, the court dismissed the bail application.Apart from Ajmer Dargah bombing, which claimed three lives and left 15 others injured, Aseemanand is alleged to have been involved in several other blasts across India including those at Hyderabads Makkah Masjid, Samjhota Express and Malegaon. He was arrested in January this year in the Ajmer bombing case.
