Libyans in London demonstrated for and against leader Colonel Gaddafi. Libyans living in Britain travelled from around the country to protest outside the embassy in an upmarket part of the English capital.

Libya is feeling ripples from popular revolts in its neighbours Egypt and Tunisia, now in London, Libyans said they are echoing the voices of their countrymen.Clashes broke out in several towns in Libya on Thursday after the opposition called for a day of protests, reports and a witness said, while supporters of Gaddafi rallied in the capital.Some Libyans complain about high unemployment, income inequality and limits on political freedoms, but analysts say an Egypt-style revolt is unlikely there because the government can use its vast energy revenues to placate unhappy citizens.
