Protests after Egypt, Tunis and Sudan occurred in Iran, Yemen, and Bahrain against the government.

According to details, Regime loyalists confront anti-government protesters in the Yemeni capital. Police were unable to keep the two sides apart. Hundreds of Saleh backers turned up to stage a counter protest -- and at least one student was wounded in the ensuing scuffles. Chanting death to America slogans, the protesters accused opposition leaders of being part of a Western plot to overthrow the Islamic system.Protesters in Bahrain poured into the Gulf island kingdom s capital on Wednesday to mourn a demonstrator killed in clashes with security forces on Tu. Stone-throwing protesters faced riot police on Monday (February 14) at a major road junction in the centre of Manama, hoping to emulate the rallies on Cairo s Tahrir Square and demanding a change of government. Bahrainis have a history of protest and the current unrest, in its third day, has been driven by familiar complaints of economic hardships, lack of political freedoms and sectarian discrimination by the Sunni rulers against the Shi ite majority.
