Three killed as Indian Navy chopper crashes in Goa

Two pilots of Indian Navy helicopter and a diver died as it crashed in Goa on Monday.

According to Indian Navy, the helicopter on transit from Mumbai to Bangalore was to make a scheduled re-fuelling halt at Goa. A Board of Inquiry to ascertain the cause has been ordered.The chopper was flying from Mumbai to Bangalore and had stopped at Dabolim airport for refuelling.Talking to Indian media, Navy Pubic Relation Officer ( PRO) Commander P K Prabhala confirmed the crash. Navy Chetak helicopter has crashed, Prabhala said. However, the Navy has not confirmed the news about casualties in the crash.The helicopter caught fire soon after the crash said Indian police.A Board of Inquiry to ascertain the cause of the crash has been ordered.
