Bangalore police have stopped Google staff from taking snaps of roads and public locations for security reasons.The police took the stance that they could not allow Google to take images until a no objection letter has been issued from the central government in this regard.According to the state officials, Bangalore is a sensitive city and a high value target and Google’s move could be a security risk.Street View, a popular feature on Google Maps, is available for about 100 cities in 27 countries.Google started collecting images in Bangalore a month ago and its plan was to slowly expand to cover all of India.
