PCB chairman statement disappointing: Afridi

The all rounder says a character assassination campaign has been launched against him.

Former national cricket team captain Shahid Afridi said that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ijaz Butt’s statement left him disappointed.Talking to a foreign news agency in London, Afridi said that his character is being assassinated through a pre plan campaign. “There is a campaign against me and I can say a lot of things against my accusers. I reserve my rights, and will speak if they don’t stop,” Afridi said.Butt accused Afridi of causing the team to lose matches against West Indies in May. He also said that Afridi would not lead the team again.
