Seven Pakistani cueists leave for Doha to play IBSF World Snooker Championship

Over 50 countries will participate in the mega event which ends on November 27

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Seven top Pakistani cueists have left for Qatar from Karachi airport to play IBSF World Snooker Championships 2017 in Doha, Qatar.

Over 50 countries will participate in the mega event which starts from November 27. The highly optimistic nine-member Pakistani team comprising of seven cueists and two officials are confident to make impact in the multi-nation tournament.

The national players will compete in both main and master category titles. Muhammad Asif, Asjad Iqbal, Naseem Akhtar and Mubashair Raza will participate in main event.

Muhammad Yousaf, Khurram Hussain Agha and Imran Shahzad will play the master category with Khurram Hussain and Naveed Paladia officiating as referees in the event.

Pakistan Billiard and Snooker Association (PBSA) spokesperson told that the team is in good shape as it underwent camp training and they are confident that it will fetch productive results during the premier snooker activity. PBSA President Munawar Hussain Sheikh will later leave for Qatar to attend the annual general meeting of international billiard and snooker association scheduled on November 24.

The event final is scheduled on November 27. The players are hopeful to lift the world titles.
