Commonwealth Games: Pak Boxer Waseem to return home with silver medal after defeat in final

26-year-old Pakistani boxer faced Australia's Andrew Moloney in the 52 kilogram flyweight category.

GLASGOW (Dunya News) – Pakistani boxer Muhammad Waseem was placed second after being beaten by Australian boxer Andrew Moloney in Commonwealth Games Flyweight final on Saturday, Dunya News reported.
26-year-old Pakistani boxer faced Australia’s Andrew Moloney in the 52 kilogram flyweight category.

Moloney was on the lead by 2 points in the first two rounds. Waseem reportedly won the third round but the jury decided for Moloney keeping in view the results of the first two rounds.
Moloney secured the gold medal in the flyweight category whereas Pakistani boxer Waseem got the second prize i.e. the silver medal.
Pakistani boxer Waseem has made it to finals after defeating Ghana boxer Abdul Omar.
Pakistan has secured four medals in the Commonwealth Games so far.
