Interior Minister Rehman Malik said Pakistan has completed investigation against five accused of Mumbai terror attacks and urged India to show seriousness in Samjhota Express case. Pakistan has shown its seriousness in Mumbai terror attacks as promised by our leadership, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani. He said the probe into Mumbai terror attack was completed in record time after the information was provided to Pakistani investigation team. India took 90 days to submit the challans of the culprits, while we submitted the challans within 76 days of the information provided to us. Malik said India was wrongly blaming Pakistan for delay in the investigation, while the delay was on their part as they submitted Ajmal Kasabs statement after four months of the Pakistans request. Similarly, the DNA report of Ajmal Kasab and the answers of 32 questions submitted by Pakistani investigation team were not given in time, he added. We were very much serious in the probe and we have successfully completed the investigation against the five accused of the Mumbai terror attacks. He said 13 more accused have been declared proclaimed offenders (POs) for their alleged involvement in Mumbai terror attacks. The Minister urged the media and the people to help the government for the arrest of these POs. Rehman Malik appreciated the performance of Pakistani investigation team for successfully completing the investigation, he, however said that the trial would continue against the culprits. He said that the investigation report will be submitted to India by the Foreign Office for further action against the culprits. To a question, he said India did not share any information in Samjhota Express case and called upon the Indian authorities to show seriousness in the case. To another question, he said Indian High Commission was very satisfied with the dossier to be submitted to India.
