The NA observed 1-minute silence over the killing of Hindu doctors in Sindh.

The session of National Assembly started under the chair of Deputy Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi.The minorities MNAs protested against the killing of three Hindu doctors in Shikarpur area of Sindh and demanded a judicial inquiry into the incident.Khatumal Jeewan said that this treatment of minorities started during brutal General Zia-ul-Haq’s dictatorship. He said the Hindus in Pakistan have been leaving for India due to this situation.Federal Minister Syed Khurshid Shah said that only one accused has to be arrested while others have been arrested. On the issue of delay in Hajj flights, the federal minsters said that there were certain faults in PIA’s operations during Hajj.He said that the pilgrims bring more than 30 kilograms of luggage and due to rechecking the PIA flights delay.Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik said that report of police torture on a 15-year old boy has been sought from the Punjab government.Later the National Assembly unanimously passed The Prevention of Anti-Women Practices (Criminal Law Amendment) Act 2008.
