Defence Ministry has begun inquiry against 3 retired generals.

Ch Nisar, while presiding over the meeting of Public Accounts Committee (PAC), said that court has initiated the inquiry against three retired generals of Pak Army. Ch Nisar was of the view that Army generals, involved in corruption, should also be treated just like the civilians. Showing his disappointment, Ch Nisar said that Army has initiated enquiry against its generals but Prime Minister has appointed the person, involved in corruption, on a key post in Capital Development Authority (CDA). All the members and Audit officials, during the meeting, asked Ch Nisar to take back his decision of resignation as the chairman PAC. Ch Nisar replied that government’s audit objections were expected in the upcoming sessions of PAC and he did not want to make this forum battlefield. PAC approved seven reports to present in the National Assembly.
