Rawalpindi: Haj corruption case hearing put off till Oct 15

Special Judge Central Rawalpindi Court postponed hearing of Haj corruption case till October 15.

The hearing of case was conducted in the court of Syed Ikhlaq Ahmad.Accused Hamid Saeed Kazmi, while talking to the media before appearing in the court, said that he would submit his statement regarding foreign currency account. Former DG Haj Rao Shakeel could not appear before the court as he was to appear before a court in Lahore.The court asked FIA officials why they were not presenting final challan against the accused.Additional Director Legal Khalid Naeem said that the Supreme Court has delegated the investigation to Hussain Asghar; unless he takes charge of his office, it is difficult to submit the final challan in the court.
