A writ petition has been filed in Supreme Court to review allegations levelled against Altaf Husain.

Tariq Asad Advocate submitted the petition under Article 184.The petitioner was of the view that the allegations Dr Zulfiqar Mirza levelled against the MQM chief by swearing on the Holy Quran were related to the survival and solidarity of the country.He prayed that the court, while evaluating these allegations, should impose a ban on MQM’s political activities, particularly in Pakistan. The Federation, Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Dr Zulfiqar Mirza and MQM chief Altaf Hussain have been made defendants in the petition.
