Ex-PPP MNA, 5 friends murdered; demo outside Sindh CM House

PPPs ex-MNA is among 13 people shot dead in Karachi since Tuesday evening.

In one brazen incident, five friends abducted from Lyari were tortured to death while their bodies were thrown in different areas of Karachi. People from different walks of life staged a demonstration in front of the Chief Minister’s House to protest the tragic killing of five friends. Police were present in excess to avert any untoward situation.According to police, unknown miscreants on bike targeted PPP’s former MNA Waja Karim Dad and four of his companions near Kharadar and fled away from the scene.At least eight persons also sustained injuries. All the killed and injured were shifted to the civil hospital.According to police, some unknown armed men threw hand grenades in the area of Bheempura in which a kid and a minor girl died on the spot while four persons suffered injuries who were shifted to the civil hospital.Meanwhile, some unknown miscreants set a car, a bike and rickshaw on fire. After the incident, panic gripped the area and spate of firing continued intermittently in the area.After the incident, whole of the area was gripped by panic.Earlier, two men were killed in firing incidents in Shah Faisal Colony and Jail Chorangi.
