Suspended SHO burnt to ashes, DNA test may confirm identity

A police inspector has reportedly been burnt alive in Faisalabad in early morning hours.

Police said Inspector Abdul Razzaq Gujjar left his house after Sehri when unknown men intercepted him, tied him up and burnt him inside the vehicle, which they said is fully burnt. The body of the man killed in the jeep is burnt beyond recognition. The incident took place in Samundri Police Station area.Inspector Abdul Razzaq was suspended as Station House Officer (SHO) Daj Kot lately, it is learnt. Senior police officials reached the crime scene and ordered investigation.A DNA test on the burnt body may be done to confirm the identity and carry out further investigations.
