Manifesto committee working on new provinces: PM

Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said the manifesto committee was working for new Provinces.

He said the federal government would back provincial government if they are willing to call the army in Karachi. Talking to media here at circuit house, he said, there is a difference between situation in Karachi and Balochistan. “We are facing law and order situation because of Afghanistan”, he said. The premier while responding to a question said that the law enforcement agencies have been directed to review situation in Karachi. Provincial governments are responsible for law and order in their respective rovinces, he said. Replying to a query, he said, all stakeholders would be consulted before formation of new provinces in the country.It depends on manifesto committee when it will announce the formation of new provinces, he said. Replying to a question, he said, it is wrong to say that US will freeze country’s nuclear assets. India was not involved in everything, he clarified. We will not go against our country’s interest, he said. According to State Bank of Pakistan the foreign reserve has increased considerably.Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani has said that a charter committee working for new provinces and was engaged in consultation with all the stakeholders.
