CO Wana Major Gen Rizwan said that peace in S Waziristan prevailed with the cooperation of locals.

Briefing the media at Wana, the capital of South Waziristan, the commanding officer said that 650 terrorists were killed during the operation ‘Rah-e-Nijat’ while 170 soldiers were also martyred.He said that no foreigner would be spare in the region, according to the truce with the local elders.The major general said that few hidden powers did not want peaceful ties between Pakistan and Afghanistan.The ISPR arranged a tour of Wana bazaar for the journalists and also showed the mortar shells fired from Afghanistan to the journalists.
