Zero tolerance for corruption in courts: CJP

Chief Justice of Pakistan says judicial system is being made fair and transparent.

Addressing a ceremony for award of legal licenses to lawyers, CJ Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said the cases are being disposed on an urgent basis under the National Judicial Policy. He said many judicial officials have been sacked on account of corruption. The CJs of High Courts are monitoring the district courts, he added.The CJP said the bench and the bar needed to work in liaison to come up to the people’s expectations from the judicial system restored by the lawyers’ movement.
