Commission probing Saleem Shahzads killing seeks access to journalists phone record.

The commission had decided to write to the Interior Ministry to get the record.The commission had its second session in under the chair of Justice Mian Saqib Nisar. Federal Shariah Court Chief Justice Agha Rafique, Punjab and Islamabad IGPs, Federal Union of Journalist President Pervez Shaukat and the federal secretary information also attended the session. Briefing the media, Taimoor Azmat Usman, the secretary information, said the commission has publicised its appeal in the newspapers, but no witness or anyone else has come forward to facilitate the investigation process as yet. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has saved the phone record of Saleem Shahzad to be presented to the commission in a few days. The PFUJ president has expressed satisfaction with the commission’s working.The session has been adjourned till July 09. The next meeting will take place in Islamabad instead of Lahore.
