Chairman NAB chairs NAB Executive Board meeting
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal chaired a meeting of the NAB Executive Board on Monday. The meeting reviewed inquiries against Captain (R) Safdar, Amir Muqam, Sher Azam Wazir and assets beyond means case against Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
The Executive Board meeting decided to review the proceedings in the Malam Jabba Swat case as per the decision of the court and approved an investigation into the alleged illegal recruitment in Bank of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
The investigation against Billion Tree Tsunami project, Nawabzada Mahmood Zeb and Usman Saifullah was also reviewed.
According to the statement by NAB, it was decided that all inquiries will be completed independently and the accused would be given a fair chance to prove themselves innocent.
Chairman NAB said that very serious efforts are being made against corruption, with logical conclusions of mega corruption cases being the watchdog’s top priority. He added that national and international institutions are appreciating the performance of NAB.
