Pakistan strongly condemns Ram temple construction in place of historic Babri Masjid
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan has strongly condemned the construction of Ram Mandir in place of the historic Babri Masjid in India and said that the Indian Supreme Court has given the wrong decision.
A statement issued by the Foreign Office said that Babri Masjid was built five centuries ago but the decision of the Indian Supreme Court shows that in India, Hinduism prevails over justice.
Spokesperson Aisha Farooqui said that the decision also proved that the majority won out, not the law. Places of worship in India for minorities, especially Muslim ones, are being targeted deliberately. The construction of a temple instead of a mosque will be a disgrace to the face of Indian democracy in the future, she added.
