SC to announce verdict against FIA DG today

The Supreme Court will announce verdict against Malik Iqbal in court contempt case.

The Supreme Court during the last hearing had ordered the indictment of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director General Malik Iqbal for transferring FIA additional DG Zafar Qureshi, who was the investigation officer in National Insurance Corporation Limited (NICL) corruption case. The chief justice had remarked that Malik Iqbal spoiled the case whatever was entrusted with him.Malik Iqbal had pleaded that he was willing to leave the work, but the court had rejected his appeal and directed Iqbal to file a written reply with the court. The court had reserved the decision and would announce today.
