Torkham Border reopened for pedestrian traffic
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) –The government on Saturday reopened the Torkham border crossings to Afghanistan for pedestrian traffic to facilitate the return of Pakistanis stranded in Afghanistan.
According to the district Khyber’s administration, reopening of the border will allow Pakistanis stranded in Afghanistan to return home. Border will also be open for people who want to travel Afghanistan from Pakistan.
According to federal government, Torkham border will remain open five days a week for transit and one day for pedestrian traffic.
Earlier, government closed the border with Afghanistan to curb the spread of coronavirus in the country.
