KPT hands over six truckload of relief good to Governor Sindh
Governor Sindh said that our target is to distribute 50,000 ration bags among the deserving people.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Six truckload of relief good on behalf of Karachi Port Trust (KPT) and Ministry of Maritime Affairs was handed over to Governor Sindh Dr Imran Ismail for distribution among the persons affected by lockdown imposed to combat coronavirus in the country, Dunya News reported on Monday.
Six truckload of relief good containing 3,000 ration bags was handed over to Dr Imran Ismail. These ration bags will be distributed among the deserving persons of Hyderabad and the workers in Lakhra.
Talking to media in the Governor House, Dr Imran Ismail along with opposition leader in Sindh Assembly Firdous Shamim Naqvi and others said that our target is to distribute 50,000 ration bags among the deserving people.
He informed that 7,000 ration bags have already been distributed. He said that the ration bags are being distributed with the help of philanthropists and other donor organizations in order to provide essential food items to the people affected by the lockdown.
Dr Imran Ismail also informed that at least 120,000 youth from Sindh province have joined Corona Relief Tiger Force for relief works during the lockdown.
