The Federal Cabinet calls on the US to respect the parliaments resolution and stop drone attacks.

The Federal cabinet meeting was held under the leadership of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani in Islamabad. Addressing the meeting, PM Yousuf Raza Gilani said that the political leadership and the public need broader unity in order to overcome the challenges being faced by the country.In the meeting, Interior Minister Rehman Malik briefed the cabinet regarding the terrorist attack on the Pakistan Naval Station Mehran Base. Malik also said that talks are continuing with the US to stop the drone attacks.After the meeting, federal information minister Dr Firdous Aashiq Awan told the media that it was decided that intelligence sharing would be on a provincial level and agreed that the parliament’s resolution would not be violated regarding the drone attacks.She said that it has been made clear to the United States that the parliament’s resolution should not be violated. She also said that the report on the PNS Mehran base attack would soon be completed.The decision to dissolve the Industrial Development Bank was also made in the meeting.
