KAROR LAL ESAN (Dunya News) - Fire broke out in the forests of Rakhwan village near Karor Lal Esan, a tehsil of Layyah district in Punjab, on Friday, Dunya News reported.

Three fire brigade vehicles and rescue teams reached the spot and launched operation to douse the fire. Rescue sources informed that the blaze also damaged sugarcane field in the area.

The fire, which spread due to strong winds, has reduced thousands of trees into ashes. Dozens of wild creatures including wild boars, jackals, francolins and snakes were also burnt alive.
