Peshawar: Huge quantity of explosive material recovered, two held

The Peshawar police on Saturday recovered a huge quantity of explosive material and arrested two suspects, Dawood and Khurshid.In a media briefing, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP-operation) Ejaz Mohmand said that a truck was intercepted on Northern bypass and the police found 375 kilogrammes of explosive material, 2,250 safety fuses and 10,000 detonators from it.The official claimed that the material was being consigned to Peshawar from Punjab. He said that it was the kind of material which was used in attacks on police and blowing out of schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said the accused were being questioned.
