In Pictures: ECP sends off the ballot papers and ballot boxes to ROs
Election material has been dispatched to the Returning Officers
(WebDesk) - Printing and dispatch of ballot papers for upcoming general elections 2018 has been completed. 210 million ballot papers have been printed for national and provincial assemblies. The ballot paper for National Assembly will be green, while white paper will be used for provincial Assemblies.
Secretary ECP Babar Yaqub while briefing media in Islamabad said all relevant election material has been dispatched to the Returning Officers.
He said postal ballots will be thoroughly scrutinized after election in every constituency to stop their misuse. Presiding Officers at the polling stations will be fully in charge and police and military personnel will work under them.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) spokesman said that the papers have been distributed to all the cities except Karachi where they will be delivered today.
Staffers of Election Commission of Pakistan has started sorting and shifting the election material “Ballot Boxes and Folding Polling Booths” to their recommended destinations from the ECP Store.
