ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Ostensibly, it seems that Chaudhry Nisar has parted ways with Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) as former interior minister will contest elections against PML-N’s candidate engineer Qamar ul Islam for seat in lower house of parliament.

Nisar on Sunday filed nomination papers through his aide Sheikh Aslam for two provincial assembly’s seats PP-10 and PP-12 whereas he also submitted nomination papers for NA-59 Rawalpindi and NA-63 Taxila. Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has summoned Nisar on June-13.

On the other hand, Qamarul Zaman also filed nomination papers for NA-59 claiming support of Maryam Nawaz.

Nisar—in a statement—took a jibe at PML-N’s top brass over making ‘humiliating excuses’ for not granting him ticket for general elections 2018.

Nisar urged inhabitants not to make a joke out of the ticket issue. He inquired that whether it had happened in the past that senior politicians had appeared before party’s parliamentary board for seeking ticket.

Meanwhile, PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif is mulling over contesting general elections 2018 from as many as three constituencies of Karachi.

As per details garnered, the former Punjab chief minister (CM) has obtained nomination papers for the same whereas PML-N’s parliamentary board has ratified the decision.
