Presidents address: Govt, opposition devise strategy

The government and the opposition have started to devise strategy for the joint session of the Parliament on 22th March. The Prime Minister has called a meeting of coalition partners while the opposition parties have started mutual contacts.

Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani will chair a joint meeting of the coalition partners. All the coalition parties including MQM, ANP and FATA members will participate in the meeting. Farooq Sattar of MQM and Spokesperson of ANP Zahid Khan showed willingness to attend the meeting.Meanwhile, the opposition parties have also started to contact each other. Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Chaudhry Shujat Hussain telephoned Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman, while, Chaudhry Shujat has also contacted MQM leader Babar Ghauri.The Parliamentary Party meetings by JUI and PML-N have been called on Monday and Tuesday respectively.
