President issues ordinances to implement flood tax, excise duty and GST.

President Asif Ali Zardari has issued three separate ordinances for implementation of flood tax, excise duty and GST. While PML-N claims that implementing tax according to ordinance is against the constitution. According to the ordinances issued by President, the flood tax (15%) will be collected for 13 months. This surcharge will be applicable on those who are income-tax payers. This 15% surcharge will be deducted with their income tax. President also issued an ordinance for having 2.5% on excise duty and GST on several items.
