Faisalabad police encounter: Judicial inquiry ordered

A judicial inquiry of the dual killing in an alleged police encounter in Faisalabad was ordered.

A lawyer, Ijaz Ahmed, filed an application to the Lahore High Court that sought a judicial inquiry of the killings. The lawyer said that Faisalabad police shot dead two men, Muhammad Naeem and Arshad Hussain, while the deceased had no criminal record. The LHC ordered a judicial investigation of the matter by the Faisalabad district and session judge and ordered that the investigation report should be submitted to the court in 30 days.
