QUETTA (Dunya News) – Taking a u-turn, Chief Minister of Balochistan Abdul Quddus Bizenjo denied that he had entrusted Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari to nominate Senate Chairman.

Speaking in programme ‘Dunya Kamran Kay Saath’, Bizenjo said that he has not given any authority to Zardari for nominating Senate Chairman.

He asserted that if PPP did not agree to select an independent senator of Balochistan for Senate Chairman, his party will then consult Imran Khan.

However; he maintained that they have not closed doors for PML-N as they will meet their leadership and try to convince them on their candidate.

Earlier while putting his faith in the former President of Pakistan, Abdul Quddoos Bizenjo has asked members to vote for the candidate nominated by the PPP, Saleem Mandviwala.

Pakistan Tehreek-i-insaf has already pledged support to the CM Balochistan for the coveted positions in the Upper House.

PPP won 12 and PTI won 6 seats in the recent Senate elections.
