Multan: Case registered against five accused for raping BZU student

Female student was raped a year ago and the victim approached police but no case was registered.

MULTAN (Dunya News) – A case was registered against five accused involved in raping and blackmailing a female student of Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan.

The case was registered at the Women Police Station. A lecturer of the university, Ajmal Mahar, was among the five persons booked under Sections 376, 506, 109 and 25 of the Telegraphic Act.

Those who were nominated in the case, included Ajmal Mahar, Alo Raza, Tanzil, Usman and Nishat. A female student enrolled with Bahauddin Zakariya University has accused a lecturer among fice persons on Wednesday to have raped and blackmailed her claiming to have a footage of the crime.

According to the alleged victim, she was raped a year ago and approached police but no case was lodged.

Police sources said that three accused in the case have been arrested while raids are being conducted to apprehend the others.
