The case came under discussion in SC in which the court expressed resentment.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - At least eight Anti-Car Lifting Cell’s (ACLC) officials were sent to jail on judicial remand by the Supreme Court on Saturday.

The case came under discussion in SC Karachi Registry during which the court remarked, “Nine officials could have caught the young man but they instead killed him. Will the court do everything?”

Earlier, JIT recorded statements of slain Intezar Ahmed’s bereaved father, Madiha Kiyani, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Muqaddas Haider and others in its first session.

However; it failed to establish alleged presence of SSP Haider on the incident site at the time of gunfire and his link with Madeeha Kiyani.

The next session of JIT will be held on Saturday in which post-mortem and forensic reports will be reviewed.

It was reported that differences have surfaced in the JIT. Sources say that CTD authorities wanted to save higher officials and police personnel. They are trying to declare the killing as ‘murder by mistake’.

Other representatives in the team were not provided the chance to question the suspects. It has been revealed that member other than the CTD officials signed at the conclusion of the first session. Sources also say that Anti-Car Lifting Cell’s (ACLC) former chief SSP Muqaddas Haider alloted government pistol to ACLC official Bilal illegally.
