Case registered against PU students, 35 suspended over vandalism

LAHORE (Dunya News) – In the presence of chief security officer, a case was registered against the Punjab University students who ransacked the pioneer festival and torched the Electrical Engineering Department.

According to details, sections of terrorism were also included in the case. Moreover, the university administration suspended at least 35 students.



The university presented a battlefield scenario as the students hurled stones and tortured each other severely. The students also fell into a clash with the police personnel and damaged their vehicles.

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif also took notice of the incident and directed a probe into the incident.

The classes resumed in the university today as the situation is peaceful however; the attendance is slightly less due to rain.
