Politicians condemn terror attack in Quetta

Balochistan governor has directed for imposition of state of emergency in nearby hospitals.

QUETTA (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Balochistan Governor, Punjab chief minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari among other lawmakers have strongly condemned terror attack near Balochistan Assembly on Tuesday, hours after Sanaullah Zehri resigned as the chief minister.

Balochistan Governor Achakzai has condemned the attack and directed security departments to take steps for protection of the people. Achakzai directed for imposition of state of emergency in nearby hospitals after the deadly blast.

In a statement issued in this regard, CM Shehbaz expressed condolences to bereaved families of the martyrs and prayed for early recovery of the wounded.

He said that terrorists follow no religion and are enemies of humanity. He said that there is no tolerance for extremism in a Pakistan envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Terrorists who target innocent lives would definitely be served justice, he said.

PPP chairman Bilawal expressed his condolences to the grieving families of the martyrs and urged authorities to arrange for better medical facilities for the injured.

Terrorists, irrespective of the outfit they belong to, are enemies of humanity, he said, adding that it is a national obligation to defeat them.
