Stranded Pakistanis to be evacuated from Libya: Salman Bashir

Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir said on Thursday that the Foreign Office has been working with the Defence Ministry and Civil Aviation Authority to repatriate the stranded Pakistanis from Libya.

Briefing the newsmen at the Foreign Office in Islamabad, Bashir said that almost 18,000 Pakistanis were living in different parts of Libya and they would be evacuated through land, air and sea routes.Answering a question about impact of Davis case on Pak-US relations, the foreign secretary expressed the hope that the issue would not cast any shadow on bilateral relations.
