Corruption scandal unearthed in Azad Kashmir construction projects

HATTIAN (Dunya News) – Corruption scandal in Azad Kashmir construction projects has been unearthed as it is found out that building of middle school for girls in Hattian district was ineffective even before use.

The students and teachers are forced to conduct the classes in open air in intense weather conditions because substandard material was used in manufacturing.



According to details, one crore and five lac rupees were spent in 2007 on the construction of the school after earthquake. The institution is situated in Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (PM AJK) Raja Farooq Haider Khan’s constituency.




No action against the responsible persons has been taken even after so many years. Furthermore, the education department and the project controllers have also not given any clear statement as yet.
