The injured biker has recorded his statement before the police.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Karachi Seaview murder case has taken a new twist as the injured biker has denied having any connection with Khawar Burney, the prime suspect arrested in killing of an 18-year-old boy named Zafir.
The injured person, Doctor Raheem, recorded his statement before the police and said he was riding his friend Hammad’s heavy bike when the incident occurred. He said a car hit him from behind and started dragging him as he fell on its bonnet.
Raheem said he had to jump off the car to save his life because the driver did not stop it after collision. He further claimed that he does not have any involvement in the murder that took place afterwards.
On the other hand, police have registered a case against the killing of Zafir. The case was registered on the complaint of Zafir’s father. Sources said that the murder and other provisions have been included in the FIR No 122 lodged by the complainant.
It is worth mentioning here that Zafir was shot dead on Sunday morning by armed persons after the road collision in Karachi.
The 18-year-old was passing through Seaview area along with three friends when their car hit a heavy bike. The car passengers were then followed by a double-cabin vehicle and some armed men opened fire at the car which killed Zafir and injured his friend, Zayed.
Zafir, son of a private bank manager, was resident of Defence Housing Authority (DHA) and a first-year student in DHA College.
