Gujrat: Two killed, 10 injured as car runs over pedestrians
A speeding car ran over pedestrians on Gujrat on Tuesday, killing two people and injuring 10 other.
GUJRAT (Dunya News) – At least two people were killed and 10 other sustained wounds when a speeding car hit pedestrians standing on roadside in Gujrat on Tuesday, Dunya News reported.
According to police, the driver lost the control of the car due to over-speeding and ran over pedestrians in Daulatpur area of Gujrat, killing two persons on the spot in injuring 10 other.
Police sources said that one of the deceased was identified as Suleman, a resident of Fatehpur. Those who injured in the accident included Mohsin, Naeem, Tayyab, Nauman, Ghulam Hussain, Azhar Ali, Draiz, Shoaib, Usman and Abid Aziz.
Rescue teams shifted the injured to hospital. Police sources said that the driver was drunk due to which he lost control of his car.
