ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) emir Sirajul Haq has demanded court investigation over controversial amendment in Khatm-e-Nabuwwat declaration and operation against Faizabad protesters.

The JI chief visited the residence of the man in Rawalpindi who was killed during Faizabad operation. He offered condolences to the family and prayed for the departed soul.

Talking to media, he said that the incident would not have happened of government had accepted Zahid Hamid’s resignation demand before. “The government backed off after the stance of the nation became apparent,” he said.

Sirajul Haq maintained that the government is responsible for the crisis that prevailed in the country.

“Amendment in Khatm-e-Nabuwwat declaration was a pre-planned conspiracy in which influential people were involved and Zahid Hamid was a part of it,” said JI chief.

He said that people are angered over the government therefore; they should mend their ways.
