We only demand fair trial, said Nawaz Sharif.

During a 3-hour meeting, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) references, country’s political situation and challenges being faced by Pakistan were discussed while it was also decided that Nawaz Sharif will continue serving as PML-N chairman.

Referring to the corruption cases against Sharif family, former PM said that he didn’t get justice and whatever is happening in the accountability court, is conspiracy against him. We only demand fair trial, he added.

He warned that any step to harm democratic system in the country will be dealt sternly. He revealed that propaganda is being carried out through media houses against them. Sharif further directed to complete development project at earliest and to fully participate in 2018 general elections.

Talking to media after the meting, Nawaz Sharif said that I am coming back to Pakistan on November 2 and will also appear in the court on November 3. Those dreaming of breaking PML-N will never get succeeded as everyone is united and supportive, he continued.

PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi also spoke to the media and lightly remarked that he has taken a day off as the Prime Minister of Pakistan and will return.

Responding to one of the questions regarding accountability cases against the Sharif family, Abbasi assured that the former PM Nawaz Sharif will present himself in the court and will boldly face the proceedings.

Shehbaz Sharif stressed that Nawaz Sharif is party’s head and the party is executing his will. “Fair trial is Nawaz Sharif’s just demand,” he added while making it clear that party is not faced with any threat whether external or internal.
