Chief Secretary Sindh and Secretary Interior will file two separate appeals in the Supreme Court.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Sindh government has decided to move Supreme Court for the removal of IG Sindh A.D. Khawaja from his post, Dunya News reported.

Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has approved an appeal prepared by former law minister Farooq H. Naik after consultation with the party leadership.

Sources said that Chief Secretary Sindh and Secretary Interior will file two separate appeals in the Supreme Court against the verdict of Sindh High Court (SHC).

The SHC in its decision had allowed A.D. Khawaja to work as IG Sindh and also barred the Sindh government from interfering in IG Sindh.

The court had also empowered A.D. Khawaja to appoint and transfer DIG level officers. He was also empowered to remove officers from their posts who violated orders.

The Sindh government will also appeal Supreme Court to revoke Sindh High Court verdict.
