Dr Farooq Sattar complains of pressure on members to sway loyalties

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan chief Dr Farooq Sattar has warned the federal government on Sunday to have the elected members of the political party resign from National Assembly, Senate and provincial assemblies in case its elected members are continued to be pressurized to sway loyalties.

Dr Sattar addressed a press conference in Sindh metropolis today and urged the Members of Provincial Assembly to step forward and break their silence on the elements pressurizing them to quit Muttahida Qaumi Movement and join other political parties.

He vowed to raise the issue with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa after MPAs disclose the pressure force.

He alleged that members of the political party are being pressurized to end their loyalties with Muttahida Qaumi Movement.

Dr Sattar said that it was beyond him to understand why members of the party are parting ways despite the step taken on August 23, 2016.
